Anyone ever play with one of these?

Seems like you could use it to make small crystals and maybe other clock stuff.
What this country needs is a good $5 parts clock.

I had one of these when I was a kid.  I can't think of anything useful for the Telechron/GE clocks.

The device has a sheet of plastic (3"x3").  You suspend the sheet over a hot plate until it becomes saggy/molten.

On the other side, you have a mold (race car) placed on a plate with small holes.

When the plastic is saggy, you turn on the suction (reverse air hockey table), and flip the saggy plastic over the mold (race car).

The suction pulls the plastic over the mold and cools it.

You then have a sheet of plastic shaped like the mold (race car)... that you trim with scissors...  fun eh?

We would put weird stuff on the suction plate, insects, macaroni... etc...

Too bad about the small size.  I'd really like to have something to make a crystal for my 2H109 Dinette.  One day I'm gonna see a blister-packaged item at the store and it's gonna be just the right size!
