2H50, GE Dinette
« on: May 18, 2020, 06:10:47 PM »
Just picked up a  2H50 that obviously had years of kitchen duty.  I have started stripping it and the wood seems very light colored, not at all dark like walnut.  The finish is yellow reddish. I take it this was a maple one?  But I thought the maple ones had faux leather accents and this clock has nothing like that.
Confused.

Thanks Mr. Bill - Pappy fixed it. By the way, I love the Dinette. It doesn't seem to get much attention but I think it's beautiful. I'm planning on just redoing mine without the faux leather.

Welcome to the club.
There is a LOT of info in these forums.  Took me several weeks of reading and even then I barely scratched the surface.  Some of the elders have been doing this for over a decade, I am a short termer, going on 3 years.  If you have expertise in a certain area expound and dazzle us.  I learn something new almost every week with my rehabs both good, bad and ugly.
