Seth Thomas Model 1e Floret
« on: April 28, 2018, 08:38:02 PM »
This is another clock I found today along with the Banker. Got it for $9.00. It's all original right down to the cloth covered twisted cord and button plug. It's powered by a Sangamo motor, but it didn't run when I plugged it in. I could hear humming so I knew it was getting power. I opened it up and saw the movement was stamped with 37-3 which I'm assuming refers to March 1937. I took the motor apart and cleaned off the old gummed up lubricant and applied a drop of oil and now she runs and keeps time perfectly.

I love the pyramid shape of the case and the inlay, a great deco-looking clock.

I never saw this model before and I really like it. And to think I almost passed on it!

There was also a 7H89 Guest there for $10.00. I bought that one as well.
