Pottery Barn currently has a replica of the 3H172 Candlelight for sale.

Another Pottery Barn knockoff found at a local Goodwill for $6.99. Great little deco clock based on a Waltham 8-Day clock from c.1931.

I wonder what replicas we can look forward to in the future?

Oh baby!  This is my favorite.  One of mine is downunder with Down Bro.  I have one right here on my ranch house desk.  It has no ticking sound.

It is a beauty, and I came across the pic of the original Waltham clock that it was modeled after quite by accident. I don't remember the search parameters I used when I first came across it, but there it was. I do enjoy those "lightbulb" moments. :)

Well, I picked up another Pottery Barn replica...  I say it's a replica, but I have no idea what it might be a replica of...

Anyway, entire case is heavy solid cast metal with chrome.  Glass is glass, even bevelled.  Almost tickless, you have to put your ear very near the case to hear the tiny tic, tic, tic...

So, anyone know what the Pottery Barn replicators copied to make this fine specimen?  ...or is it an original design?

(Paid $12.99 with free shipping.  Shipping label revealed postage $10.39.  Profitable clock selling is a tough business...)

I bet they copied this...

Ok, finally found it... this is what the Pottery Barn replicators replicated...

An almost perfect replication...  I have now two units of this particular PB replicant... I'll buy more... they're cool.

Bought another... that's 3, one is down under...

Snagged another one today on ebay (post above), that's four total for me, probably enough.  (Although I'll keep monitoring....)

One is at my current home (in front of me now...),
another is at my farm house office desk,
another is with DownBro, down under, in Australia. (I believe his son has commandeered it),
...this next one is currently being shipped and will probably a gifted to someone some day...

This particular model of Pottery Barn replicant is quite desirable... believe you me...  get one.
